Carney and Daniel

Dan and I “Carney” met in the Bahamas January 18th of 1998, it was love at first sight, we started dating right away and the first week of knowing each other we where talking about children, (we both come from large families, Dan is a twin in a family of 12 and I ‘m one of seven children ).

Two months later, Dan wrote a letter to my parents telling them about his feelings for me, and with my parents permission, he propose to me 70 days after we met. In May, Dan went to Spain to meet my family and December of that same year we were married in Spain.

I got pregnant on our honeymoon, but unfortunately I had an ectopic pregnancy that almost killed me, after that we prayed every day and night for us to be able to have children. A few months later I was pregnant with our precious daughter Carla, she was and is a very special girl and we were so happy enjoying her, because of my history we didn’t want to wait to have more children and when Carla was five months I found out that I was pregnant with another little angel, and Virginia was born, we love them and enjoy them every day.

After the girls were born, I had several miscarriages and we discovered we can’t have any more children. We always talk about adopting , we have so much love to give, and we realize that we are meant to have more children so we decided to send our application for adoption.
We love our girls and if you give us the opportunity we will love your baby the same way.

Now that you know a little bit about our beginning as a family we would like to talk about our life together.

We live in a four bedroom, two and a half bath home in a safe beach community and we know at list thirty neighbors. We have a play ground in our back yard, but we spend most of our time on the beach, tennis courts or greens.(is were the children like to play sports).

Dan works 3 minutes from home and in his free time he likes to take the girls sailing, tubing, fishing, camping or bike riding, we also love to travel and we do a few trips a year with the girls. Our favorite places are St. Croix, Harbour Island, Greece and Spain. I’m a stay at home mom, I love cooking, reading, exercise ,bike riding, plang piano, tennis, sailing and any sport related to water. I enjoy being home and dedicate my time to Dan and the girls.

Carla is eight years old, she is such a little Lady, she is the # 1 swimmer in the neighborhood, she loves running, bike riding, tennis, reading any water sport, piano, flute (in the school band) and loves animals.
Virginia is an active little girl that loves to read, she has a passion for horses, play’s tennis and piano, she loves any water sport and collect lizards and crabs on vacation. Carla and Virginia go to a Christian private school and are really good students. The girls have been praying for mom to have another baby and when we told them about adoption, they say that now they are praying for all of us to have a healthy baby, they are very excited!
